Yamaha CGX122M classical guitars combine traditional design aesthetics and craftsmanship with modern innovations. More than a half-century ago, Yamaha consulted legendary Spanish classical guitar luthiers such as Manuel Hernandez and Eduardo Ferrer in the pursuit of building world-class guitars, and all present-day Yamaha classical guitars are firmly based upon that original foundation.
SOLID SPRUCE OR CEDAR TOP
The CGX122M guitar's back and sides are crafted from Nato wood, complementing the solid Spruce (CGX122MS) and Cedar (CGX122MC) tops. The guitar's fingerboard and bridge are constructed of Walnut, and the instrument features a modern matte finish.
Plus, the guitar's double-action truss rod makes it easy to adjust the neck both backward and forward.
CUSTOM YAMAHA PICKUP SYSTEM
In addition to its outstanding acoustic tone, the CGX122M guitar's fully integrated undersaddle pickup system provides a full, rich, and balanced amplified sound for live performance or recording, with built-in tuner.
