The new Pono MT8 is an all solid wood tenor eight string. It is the highest quality eight string you will find for this price. It has all solid high grade mahogany, bone nut and saddle, and after our setup is as smooth as you will find. Also, the adjustable truss rod is a great feature for the eight string ukulele.
Pono is a value line from the custom ukulele makers, Ko’olau. This tenor 8 string is made of all solid mahogany and has that bright full sound the 8 string is known for. The G and C are octaves apart and the E and A are doubled in unison. An 8 string ukulele fingerings are the same as a 4 string so it is easy to jump into, and the feel for strumming is amazingly smooth. If you want a bigger, richer sound, with beautiful chiming tones, then this tenor size 8 string Pono is for you.
