This Pono bass is a lightweight chambered body with a magnetic passive Jazz Bass pickup. It's a standard short scale bass of 30". A 30" scale gives you all you need for a professional bass. Many of your favorite bass players probably chose a 30" short scale bass including Paul McCartney!
