This classic guitar features newly tuned, scalloped braced tops with more refined solid select grain Blackwood back and sides. The backs have been radiused to help create a greater tonal spectrum with focus on classic Maton earthy tones resulting in more bottom end response. The Necks have been upgraded to solid Blackwood timber and in keeping with the “Australian” theme, now have a Desert Acacia (Mulga) fingerboard and Bridge. Finally the Australian series now comes with the NEW Maton UV cured paint finish – a finer coat for a finer tone. A new MOP Australian Decal adorns this exciting new guitar.

The Australian Series is the culmination of over 50 years of building guitars from Australian timber. It showcases our indigenous timber at its best. Beautiful Blackwood back and sides combine with a premium quality Blackwood neck to produce a rich, well balanced tone.
