Bourbon Street Parlour Resonator Guitar w/Pickup + Case - Chrome Finish

A really great little Parlour resonator, with a lot more volume than you'd expect from this size body. This is my first resonator, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by it. On the whole, it's well built, with a first rate chrome finish on the bell bronze body. It's heavier than you'd think, but I guess being 80% metal that was always going to be the case. When setting it up for fingerstyle playing, I did have to round off most of the fret ends, widen the nut slots a fraction, as well as the slots on the maple biscuit bridge. It had been buzzing quite a bit, but with that nut/bridge work, and the fitting of Elixir Polyweb 12-53 strings, the buzzing was totally eliminated. It comes with one of the best semi-hard padded cases I've ever seen. . . a credit to the maker. I have to confess that I've yet to try the "Telecaster" style pickup, as I don't own an amp.
A great little player all round, and thoroughly recommended, even though the price has now climbed above $1,500. 00.
