After spending time with the Yamaha PACS+11S in Ash Pink, I honestly find myself reaching for it more than my Made in Japan Fender Telecaster.
The first thing that stands out is the build quality. Everything feels incredibly well finished—perfect fretwork, a smooth neck, quality hardware, and an attention to detail that rivals guitars at a much higher price point. It feels like a premium instrument the moment you pick it up.
The sound is solid, clear, and versatile, handling everything from sparkling cleans to driven tones with ease. While my Tele has that classic, unmistakable character, the Yamaha covers a much wider range of sounds without losing personality.
What really wins me over is the playability. The neck feels effortless, the setup is superb, and the body contours make it noticeably more comfortable than the Tele during long playing sessions. It simply gets out of the way and lets me play.
I still love my MIJ Telecaster for its heritage and iconic tone, but if I'm being honest, the PACS+11S feels like the better all-round guitar. It's better built, more versatile, more comfortable, and ultimately more inspiring to play. The Ash Pink finish is just the icing on the cake.
