 Few acoustic guitars have made an impact like the J-45—the most-recorded and beloved dreadnought in history. Introduced in 1942, it stands at the heart of Gibson's legacy with its round-shoulder body, warm low end, and strong projection. The J-45 Standard delivers a voice defined by impressive mids and focused, punchy bass, now enhanced with Gibson-exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA electronics for exceptional plugged-in sound.

Crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top paired with solid mahogany sides, the J-45 Standard produces the unmistakable tone heard across decades of recordings. The mahogany neck features a fast, comfortable SlimTaper profile and is joined to the body with a compound dovetail joint and hot hide glue, enhancing sustain and resonance. A rosewood fretboard carries 20 standard frets inlaid with classic mother-of-pearl dots, while the headstock features a mother-of-pearl Gibson logo, premium Grover Rotomatic tuners, and a TUSQ nut for smooth, dependable performance.

A rosewood belly-up bridge with TUSQ saddle anchors the strings, finished with a teardrop tortoiseshell pickguard and gloss nitrocellulose lacquer that honours the model's timeless design since 1942.

The all-new Baggs HiFi DNA pickup system uses two lightweight sensors mounted to the internal bridge plate with optimized preamps, delivering natural, full-bodied amplified tone that faithfully represents the guitar's character without altering its unplugged voice. Discreet soundhole-mounted controls for volume and tone enable quick adjustments virtually unseen by audiences.

Includes hardshell case. Ready for stage and studio use.
