The Hummingbird Standard EC combines a solid Sitka spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides. Scalloped X-bracing shapes its responsive voice, while multi-ply binding accents the classic body design. This construction delivers warmth and clarity whether driving rhythm in rock or supporting dynamic expression in singer-songwriter settings. A gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish completes the timeless appearance.

The cutaway design expands access to higher frets, making this model especially appealing to lead players seeking greater expressive range. A mahogany neck with comfortable SlimTaper™ profile pairs with a bound rosewood fretboard featuring a 12-inch radius, 20 frets, and mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays. A rosewood belly-up bridge with TUSQ® saddle, bone nut, and Grover® Rotomatic® tuners ensure dependable performance. The distinctive tortoiseshell-coloured pickguard showcases the renowned Hummingbird graphics.

The Gibson-exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA system uses two lightweight sensors mounted to the bridge plate with dedicated, optimized preamps.
