Little Lightning Devices ARTEFACTS Delay / Modulation

Artefacts is a lofi modulation and delay device based on the PT2399 echo chip from karaoke machines! It's a fun little box which can give you a range of standard delay sounds, or for those that like to push things it will give you distorted warbling repeats with long delay times. Perfect for those shoegaze fans out there! On top of this you also have an oscillation switch capable of screaming noise or gentle runaways - just stomp and hold!

Like all Little Lightning Devices, Artefacts is handbuilt here in Canberra.

Controls:

Time - sets the delay time from short slapback (almost reverb like) to long echoing repeats. Lofi / gritty noise is normal at higher settings.

Level - sets the level of the effect.

Feedback - controls the number of repeats and works in tandem with the oscillation footswitch. When set low the footswitch will be less usable, you can adjust the internal trimmer for some range if you tend to use minimal repeats.

Signal - controls the level of the delay line before the amplifier stage on the PT2399. At it's minimum it's quite clean, but as you turn it up it will start to overdrive the PT2399 for some gritty distorted tones on the delay line. Can make for an interesting overdrive and other fun sounds!

Depth - modulation depth

Rate - modulation rate.

Toggle (under rate) - selects between square wave and triangle wave modulation

Internal trim - allows you to dial in the oscillation switch, helpful to tame the runaway repeats! I recommend setting this once you've set the feedback level.

Please note - Artefacts is a buffered bypass design and requires power to pass signal. Use 9v DC only and requires a standard centre negative power supply (same as any standard pedal). Not included!
