Nominal Refund: Frequently Asked Questions
- To protect you from fraud, we place a small refund back to your credit card to verify card details.
- It's a similar process to what Paypal uses to verify new credit cards.
- Once you've seen the refund appear in your account, please confirm the amount with us.
- Normally the refund appears within 1 - 2 business days.
Q: Why does Better Music make a nominal refund back to my credit card?
A: It's a simple and effective way to protect you against unauthorised use of your card and protect us against fraudulent transactions.
Q: How does the process work?
A: We refund a small amount to the credit card used to make the transaction. Customers then check their internet banking or credit card statement and confirm the amount to us. We then dispatch your goods as soon as possible.
Q: What do I need to do?
A: Check your internet banking or credit card statement and reply to our email with the refund amount.
Q: Won't this slow my order down?
A: The refund normally shows on internet or phone banking the next business day (sometimes instantly), so delays are minimal. We will dispatch your order as quickly as possible once we have confirmation.
Q: Does anyone else use this process?
A: Paypal uses a similar refund process when a credit card is first linked to a Paypal account. The nominal refund process we use is recommended by our Bank for their online merchants.
