The Maton Australian (EA80c) is the culmination of over 50 years of building guitars from Australian timber.

The EA80c showcases our indigenous timber at its best. Beautiful Blackwood back and sides combine with a premium quality Queensland Maple neck to produce a rich, well-balanced tone. This uniquely Australian guitar sits right up there with the best the world has to offer.

The EA80c now comes with The Maton Case which is designed specifically for our guitars. We feel these cases offer the best protection for the instruments we create.

Nothing wrong with Maton. They're up there with the best.

Can't say anything nice about the electrics though.

But the electrics weren't what I bought it for. After twenty odd years, the electrics were stuffed.

But they weren't used in all that time. Some sort of QC problem? It's going to cost me about five to six hundred dollars to replace the electrics. But that's a better solution than buying a cheap replacement - it seems that twenty-five hundred dollars will be what will cost me to buy a fully functional piece of crap.

Tone-wise and for intonation accuracy, the EA80 stands up pretty well against the Martin.

I wouldn't sell either of them. Too much of a hard choice.
