As I’m sure you’re acutely aware, the COVID-19 situation is ever evolving and effecting everyday life. We hope that you are safe, healthy and potentially have some spare time to make more music! Here at Better Music we will continue to monitor and adhere to Australian Government & World Health Organisation advice as required, and we’re taking extra precautions to keep operating as normal.
Currently, our store remains open, with normal business hours and staff levels. Our entire 50+ team is fit and healthy. For the safety of our staff and customers;
- Please don't come into the store in a group of more than 2 people
- Keep a safe distance (2 metres) away from each other and staff
- Don't mingle
- We have a maximum limit of 25 customers in-store at any one time
- If you feel unwell (fever, cough, sore throat, etc) or if you have recently returned from overseas, STAY HOME! Give us a call, send us an email or start a live chat with our team via our website or Facebook/Instagram instead of coming in. As always, we’d be more than happy to help you out.
We’ve increased our regular disinfection strategy of the instruments on the floor, and have ordered a disinfection fog machine for extra protection. Should you come in-store and want to test an instrument, we ask that you sanitise your hands before you do. Testing of any Brass & Woodwind instrument or microphone is being reduced until further notice.
Better Music reserves the right to ask in-store customers to leave the premises if they are showing signs of sickness.
Our online & warehouse teams continue to process orders. Due to a large increase in online orders however, we thank you for your patience should it take longer than normal for your order to leave us. We endeavour to dispatch them as quickly and safely as possible.
If stock or shipments from suppliers arrive slower than expected due to the current situation, we thank you for your patience.

Canberra customers + Online – Same day delivery
If you live in Canberra or Queanbeyan, select Express shipping during checkout, it’s before 12pm, and it’s all in-stock, you will receive it on the same day (Mon-Fri). That’s a lot of conditions sorry, but we’re doing our best! - !! Update Due to an increased level of orders in general, we are currently experiencing delays in offering this service. Once we're on top of it, we'll re-enable this option. If you're local and all the same conditions are as above, you should get it the next day.
Click & Collect is still currently available as normal.
Our returns policy remains the same but we will not be flexible. Item(s) must be unopened, unused, in their original packaging, with all included accessories, if applicable, and must not be damaged in any way.
