Pearl Forum

The Forum series drums consist of a 100% poplar shell with a durable plastic wrap.  This is a great option for the beginner drummer looking for an affordable yet good quality drum kit.  The Forum series retails at $1199, and come with cymbals (14” hi-hats, 18” crash/ride) and a stool.  The drum kits also come with an instructional video on getting started.  For more information, please come in and talk to Tristan or Genesio in the drums and percussion department.

Pearl Export EX, EXR and ELX

The EX drum kits come in a range of different wrap finishes. 

The EXR drum kits feature Pearls’ new vintage wraps in six different finishes, Strata Blue, Strata Red, Prizm Blue, Strata Black, Prism Purple, and Strata White. 

The ELX drums come in a range of lacquered finishes, including fades. 

The toms on all three kits feature the ISS suspension mounting system, giving extended resonance and clearer tone.  With all double braced stands, the hardware is strong and reliable.  We currently have specials on all three kits so please check out the specials page.

Pearl SBX and SMX

The Pearl Session Series Drums provide an affordable entry into professional drum kits. 

The SBX comprises a 100% Birch shell with the Optimount suspension system,  giving the drums maximum resonance and a bright full sound from the Birch shells and 2 ply ProTone drum heads. 

The SMX comprises a 100% Maple shell, also with the Optimount suspension system.  The warm sound of Maple along with the 2 ply ProTone heads, these drums have a fat and full sound. 

The SBX retails at $3399. 
The SMX retails at $3999. 

Pearl Reference Series

This is the latest addition to the Pearl range of drum kits.  Each drum is made up of a different combination of maple, birch and mahogany timbers to achieve the optimal sound for each drum. 

The 12" tom is 12 ply Maple, as this is regarded as the best composition for this drum.  As the toms get smaller, Birch is added to the inside of the drums to increase the attack and presence. 

As the toms get larger than 12", Mahogany is added to give the drums more bottom end. 

The shells also get thicker to add more attack and presence to the larger drums.  The bearing edges change starting at the 14" tom, becoming completely rounded. 

This gives the drumhead more contact with the shell, providing smoothness and body.  The drums come in 6 different finishes.  Currently in stock is a 6 piece kit (10, 12, 14, 16FT, 14SN, 22BD) in Purple Craze.
