MESA BOOGIE Recto-Verb
Finally, after years of pleading for a "more affordable Recto"... Boogie answered our call! Introducing the "Son of Recto!.." An all-new 50 watt monster born of the mighty Dual Rectifier Solo Head. The Rect-O-Verb is designed to produce the crushing performance of the original "Rectos" in an affordable, yet no compromise format. Don't let the 50-watt rating fool you. This baby will still peel the paint off the walls... it will still shred the punters at the local mosh pit... To make sure they are very versatile, Reverb's been added to both the head and combo formats. But, Boogie simply made them more affordable by leaving off some of the "bells and whistles" that many punters never used. The "top" channel is voiced by Boogie to deliver a sparkling CLEAN mode that can also be switched to a new high-definition crunch mode called PUSHED. The clean channel is the territory where country and blues live. The "bottom" channel remains a menacing gain machine - staying true to the Dual Rectifier with a choice of VINTAGE or MODERN modes. Plus there's an intuitive and vital new feature - the SOLO control... which works on the output section as a pre-settable, footswitchable volume boost! (Patent Pending on this cool feature.) These new Rect-O-Verbs will definitely impress. They are a true investment in your playing future, and they are destined to become some of our best sellers! You CAN afford a Rectifier! YES! YES! YES! |

MESA BOOGIE Nomad 55 combo
Anywhere you want to go in the world of tone.
Take your playing over the next horizon. Navigate the landscapes of tone with six classic modes housed in three footswitching channels. Visualize a great guitar sound from any era and it's yours. Yet with the Nomad, you'll never get lost. The front panel is simple and straight-forward with a no-compromise control layout that repeats three times. Pre-amp voicings are powerful, yet nuanced and richly complex. The opposite of edgy, Channel One features a gorgeous, well-balanced Clean sound that blooms at a less frantic, unhurried pace. Or, gain can be kicked up by switching to Pushed for a grittier breakup, hovering on the verge of clean.
Channel Two is huge, with a wide, round envelope. Notes seem to expand in the air, filling space with a glowing richness. Smoky and purring, this sound is dripping with tone to reward the player who builds his style on finesse. The gain structure spreads from almost-clean to silky, liquid sustain. The Vintage/Modern switch doesn't radically alter the Nomad's gain, rather it brings the sound more forward or lets it lay back, like an old sepia-tone photograph.
Channel Three is punchier, brighter and faster. And once again the Nomad rewards the player with subtle shades of gain at lower settings. One of the favorites is the truly icy blues sound Channel Three delivers. With its Gain set low, it's so touch-sensitive you can articulate chords cleanly and yet fire off punctuation marks with a stinging fury-just by varying your pick attack.
Make no mistake, cranking up either Lead Channel delivers searing high-gain-but here it's gain with a refined, diplomatic patina; it's gain that can talk or sing, purr or sting. But the Nomad's inherent tastefulness sets it apart from the brash attitude of our top selling Rectifiers.
Most popular of the Nomads are the 2x12 combos led by the Nomad 45 with its quartet of EL-84 power tubes. This huge sounding, easily portable instrument boasts a tighter, higher bass with a stripped mid-range and a chiming, bell-like top end.
For the player needing giant headroom, the 100 watt head or 2x12 with its four 6L6 power section delivers breathy low-end girth and a true voice of authority. Nomad 100s also include our five-band Graphic EQ for powerful tone-shaping and an alternate, footswitchable sound.
So if you're a more traditional player who uses gain to serve-not dictate, your style, then let great tone be your guide. This is one Nomad you can trust. |

MARSHALL Handwired 1974AX
The 1974AX is an authentic re-issue of the fabled model 1974 combo of the late sixties (1966-1968). Just like the original, it boasts a point-to-point, hardwired tagboard circuit housed in an aluminium chassis, plus a valve-driven tremolo circuit. At the very heart of it's simple 2 channel design can be found 6 valves, 3 ECC83s in the preamp, an EZ81 rectifier and a pair of cathode biased EL84's in the power stage. As the output and mains transformers are vital components in any amplifier as they influence performance, sound and feel, Marshall have worked closely with their associates at Dagnall in order to duplicate the original off-the-shelf transformers in all areas.
Marshall DSL 401
The DSL201 20 Watt and DSL401 40 Watt 1x12 in. combos bring you the advances of JCM2000 design and a whole host of pure valve tones. Powered by classic sounding EL84 valves, both the DSL201 and DSL401 have 2 totally independent, footswitchable channels, notably Clean and Overdrive which can take you from clean, through classic and modern "Crunch" through to super-saturated Lead overdrive.
The DSL401 offers a third footswitchable option between OD1 and OD2, where OD2 has a 20dB gain boost. The DSL201 and DSL401 both also feature a parallel FX Loop with front panel Mix control and a large spring "Sound Enhancements" reverb. For home recording the DI output is fully speaker emulated. The all round flexibility and compact nature of these toneful combos means that they are destined to instantly become classics for sessions, rehearsals, and club gigs. |

The TSL602 has the same 100% pure, all-valve signal path (4x ECC83 preamp valves, 2x Svetlana EL34 power valves) and features of the TSL60 in a 2x12" combo.
The custom-voiced speakers were designed by our R&D department in conjunction with our long time allies, the much respected Celestion Loudspeaker company. This 12" speaker was specifically developed with the TSL601 and TSL602 combos in mind. We're so delighted with the sheer tonality, attitude and power that it has earned the title the 'Wolverine'.
