Saturday 01 June

Tim Freedman (The Whitlams) - 1pm

Tim Freedman is best known as the lead singer and keyboardist of the Australian band The Whitlams formed in 1993. The song "No Aphrodisiac", co-written by Freedman,was their break-through hit in 1997. Tim is currenlty performing as a solo artist, with a recent solo release "Australian Idle".  More Info at: www.timfreedman.com.  Tim will demonstrate and perform on the MOTIF range of Yamaha workstation keyboards.

 

Dave Leslie (The Baby Animals) - 11am and 1.30pm

Dave Leslie is best-known as the guitarist for Australian band The Baby Animals, with whom he recorded the hit singles Early Warning, Rush You, One Word and many others.  Dave will perform on a range or Taylor acoustic, semi-acoustic and electric guitars.

 

Steve Mackay (Twelve Foot Ninja) - 12 noon and 2.30pm

Australian guitarist Steve Mackay is the national demonstrator and clinician for Line 6.  He is also a guitar teacher, author and member of Melbourne rock band Twelve Foot Ninja.  His guitar book 'Simply Guitar' has sold over 1,000,000 copies to date.  Steve will demonstrate the incredible Line 6 Dream Rig. 

 

Jamie Pye (Cole Clark Guitars) - 12 noon and 3.30pm

Playing avidly since the age of nine, Jamie is a 16 year old acoustic guitarist from Geelong, VIC who excels in instrumental fingerstyle playing.  From early influences such as John Butler, Kim Churchill and more, he has developed a percussive style based on alternate and open tunings.  Jamie has recently released his first full-length album, Vibrations.  Jamie will perform acoustic sets on Saturday and Sunday on Cole Clark guitars.

 

Nick Charles (Maton Guitars) - 11.30am and 2pm

Nick will perform fingerstyle acoustic sets on Saturday on Maton guitars, showcasing the new AP5-Pro pickup system.

 

Mick Hughes (Yamaha Music Australia) - 11.30am and 2pm

Mick is the Commercial Audio and Technology Manager for Yamaha Australia.  He will present two workshops: Studio Essentials at 11.30am and PA Systems Demystified at 2pm.

 

Simon Ayton (Roland Australia) - 12.30pm and 3pm

Simon is the V-Drums and percussion product specialist for Roland Australia.  He will demonstrate V-drum kits throughout the day, featuring the Roland V-Drums Friend Jam, and the SPDSX sampling pad.

 

Braegen Russell (Roland Australia) - 10.30am and 3.30pm

Braegen is the V-Guitar and Boss effects specialist for Roland Australia.  He will demonstrate the GR55 Guitar Synth, Fender Powered by Roland GC5 Strat, The GC1 Strat and GT100 Multi Effects, as well as the Roland Guitar Friends Jam.

 

Mark Van Der Sluis (Roland Australia) - 11.30am and 3pm

Mark is the product manager for piano, organ and keys for Roland Australia.  He will demonstrate the new FP-80 digital piano.

 

Ben Ruut (Australis Music Australia/Ibanez) - 10.30am and 12.30pm

Ben is the Ibanez guitars product specialist for Australis Music.  He will hold two Ibanez Tech Talks, to demonstrate how to get the best out of your Ibanez guitar.  A must for every guitarist who has ever owned a floating trem!

 

Paul Noble (Shriro Australia/Casio) - 10.30am and 2pm

Casio Product Specialist, Paul Noble, is a highly regarded professional musician. His years of experience performing on synthesisers, pianos and keyboards around Australia shine, as he presents the brand new range of Casio Pro instruments: the Privia PX-5S Pro Stage Piano / Synth / Midi Controller, and the multi-award winning XW-P1 & XW-G1  Synthesizers.
